It’s January, and the temperature outside is hovering near zero.
I’m off work today, sitting in front of my laptop with a hot coffee and a cigarette. I want to write so much, but as usual, I’m struggling with where to start. I just finished re-reading the story of our very first 'gathering'—back when we were 'ATLAS Panniers' and later 'Earth Explorer'—and it hit me: 'It’s been over 10 years.'
Twelve years, guys. Twelve years since we first met on the open road to get to know each other, to travel together, and ultimately, to share a life-changing experience.
After that first event, more followed—Valia Calda, Zagori, Macedonia, and others—with more and more friends from every corner of Greece joining in. What started as a simple meet-up between friends evolved into massive expeditions of over 200 motorcycles and 250 participants. This success belongs entirely to our shared love for the ride, the journey, and that unique feeling when you click your visor shut and 'our' world opens up before us.
As I’ve said before, the idea of one more meeting after all these years never truly left my mind. Don’t ask 'Why now?' or 'Why another one?' The 'why' isn’t entirely clear in my head.
But it is crystal clear in my heart.
My heart starts to pound the moment my mind wanders back to everything we’ve lived through. And it’s to the beat of that heart that these lines are being written...
This blog post will serve as the central hub for everything you need to know about 'The Reunion.' We have a skeleton plan for the 3-day event, but many details are still 'up in the air.' As time goes on, the plan will solidify, and you can stay updated through our event posts.
Here’s to finding each other on the road once again! Welcome back!

For the time being:
The gathering and a significant portion of the event will take place from May 29th, 2026, to June 1st, 2026, at the Agios Theodosios Recreation Park in Kalabaka.
Throughout this journey, there will be three overnight stays with the option to choose between a hotel or camping.
There is no participation fee involved, other than your own personal expenses.
The organizers will not receive any form of payment, gifts, or monetary compensation from anyone participating in or supporting the event.
All participants, both riders and passengers, are required to wear full protective motorcycle gear, including a helmet, jacket, trousers, gloves, and boots.
It is mandatory to follow the instructions of the event coordinators and to show respect to all other members of the group.
Participants assume full responsibility for their own safety during riding and their stay at the various overnight locations.
Those who fail to follow the provided guidelines, such as engaging in dangerous or high-speed riding or causing noise pollution at the accommodations, will be excluded from the group and may only follow the event independently.
The planned routes will consist exclusively of asphalt sections.
Everyone is welcome to participate regardless of motorcycle or scooter model, displacement, or age, provided that the vehicle has a fuel range of at least 200 kilometers.
We are also considering organizing a raffle with prizes from potential supporters. The draw would take place on our final night together, for which we are planning surprises you definitely won't want to miss.
Any funds raised through the raffle will be handled with full transparency and donated in everyone’s presence to a specific charitable cause.
We will also need some assistance with certain aspects of the event, and details regarding this will be shared in a future post.
That is all for now, guys. My smile is already stretching from ear to ear, and I hope yours is too!

Good morning and a happy new month to everyone.
Out of respect for the tragic events that occurred in Trikala and Romania over the past few days, we felt it was appropriate to pause all updates regarding the event in honor of those who were lost. May they rest in peace, and we wish great strength and courage to their families during this difficult time.
In today's update, you will find more specific information regarding 'The Reunion,' which will take place from May 29th to June 1st, 2026. The four-day schedule is as follows (please note that there may be adjustments, and we will keep you informed):
Friday, May 29th
12:00 PM: For those of you with the luxury of time, you are welcome to arrive starting Friday to set up your tents, get to know one another, and enjoy a beautiful day together. You can find the event location here.
Sunset Tour: If there is interest, we will organize a 'Sunset Tour' through Meteora on our motorcycles. We will have the opportunity to visit a monastery, stop at the most scenic spots for photos, and finally end up at Sunset Rock, where we can experience one of the most stunning sunsets in the world.

The tour will last approximately 3 to 4 hours, during which we’ll share insights into the history of monasticism and the unique geological phenomenon of the Meteora rocks.
Afterward, we will head back to Agios Theodosios, where the roasted lamb (provatina) will be waiting for us! :)

Saturday 30th May
The Morning Routine: We’ll start Saturday morning with coffee at the campsite while waiting for the main bulk of the participants to arrive. For breakfast, we’ve partnered with the best bakery in Kalabaka to provide us with fresh, local delicacies.
The Ride: At 12:00 PM, we will split into two groups. Those interested can follow one of two different routes (the specific routes will be announced in a future update).
The Afternoon Surprise: Later that afternoon, there might be a surprise in store—one where you’ll need to put your helmets on again, but you won't need to put the key in the ignition! (We aren't revealing the secret just yet...)
The "Criminal" Plan: For the evening, we have a plan that is both organized and... "criminal." The charcoal gets lit, the tsipouro starts flowing, the speakers crank up, and we "Rock it"—whether that’s classic rock or traditional Kagelia!
The Media & Guests: If all goes as planned, we will have a Live Stream of the night hosted by two producers from Dust Radio, our official media sponsor. We are also working on bringing in two seasoned travelers to share their experiences and stories from the road.
Safety First (Sort of): To those who snore (myself included), don't worry—we’ve got you covered. There’s a designated perimeter for your tents to ensure your "noises" help keep the local wildlife at bay. We truly care about your safety and we prove it!
As long as there’s charcoal and tsipouro, everything else will fall into place!

Sunday, May 31st
Morning Prep: Sunday morning starts with coffee and some leftover roast lamb (if there's any left!). We hit the restrooms, pack up our tents, clean the site thoroughly, and load up our "beasts."
The Great Migration: At 10:00 AM, we say goodbye to Agios Theodosios. We are heading DEFINITELY toward the mountains (detailed route to follow) as we ride west, aiming to arrive at Kastrosykia, Preveza, DEFINITELY before 5:00 PM.
The Beach Landing: Our final destination is right by the sea; you can find the exact spot here. Thanks to the cooperation of local authorities and Mr. Panagiotis—owner of the tavern "Ta Platanakia" and "Medousa" Beach Bar—we have permission to pitch our tents on the vast beach. We’ll park the bikes in the large, secure tavern parking lot, pocket our keys, and get ready for the night’s main event.
The Feast: Traditional home-cooked meals? Fresh fish? Amazing zucchini fritters? More roast lamb? (Haven't you had enough?). We’ve got it all covered.
The Vibes: A bonfire on the beach with cold beers and music? Do we like the sound of that? You bet we do.
Want even more? How about live rock music? I think we’ve got that covered too—we're currently in talks with Metallica, haha (stay tuned for actual details in a future update).
The Charity Raffle: We will hold a raffle with as many prizes as we can gather. ALL proceeds will be donated, in the presence of the organizers, to the "Psychargos" Foundation in Preveza, which focuses on the de-institutionalization and social reintegration of individuals with mental health disorders.
The Night: Overnight camping on the beach. For the "elderly" members of the group (you know who you are!), we will make sure there are rooms available to book in the surrounding area.
Night swim? Oh, we’ve got that covered too.

Monday, June 1st
The Farewell: Monday morning finds us sipping our coffee right on the beach. Enjoy a final morning swim and, whenever you feel ready, you can begin your journey home.
Easy Returns: For a smooth ride back, both the Egnatia Odos and Ionia Odos highways are less than an hour's drive away, making the return trip convenient for everyone.
Additional Event Details
Volunteer Support: We are already seeing incredible interest from groups, clubs, and individuals eager to help make this event happen. We thank you SO MUCH (a full list will be published in a future update).
Sponsors & Supporters: Official sponsors and supporters will be announced in an upcoming post.
Memorabilia: We are working hard to provide event memorabilia, including T-shirts, neck tubes (buffs), and stickers.
Flexible Participation: Participation for all four days is not mandatory. You are free to join us for one or more days as your schedule allows.
Navigation & Safety: Future updates will include Google Maps links for the routes, overnight locations, and points of interest (e.g., gas stations), along with emergency contact information.
Accommodation Options: For our overnight stays (Agios Theodosios and the Beach), you can pitch your tent on-site or choose a hotel/guesthouse in Kalabaka or Kastrosykia. We are currently negotiating discounts with specific local accommodations.
Booking Warning: Since the event falls during the Holy Spirit long weekend (Agiou Pnevmatos), we strongly recommend booking your hotel rooms as soon as possible. Hotel names and recommendations will be released shortly.
Dining: For Friday and Saturday at Agios Theodosios, don’t worry about "protein"—we have a supplier providing plenty of meat for our grills. For other meals, we will suggest the best taverns in Kalabaka and Kastraki, where we are also negotiating group discounts. As for Sunday, the tavern "Ta Platanakia" is a guaranteed winner (speaking from personal experience).
Refreshements: On Friday and Saturday at the campsite, there will be someone on-site supplying us with sodas, beers, water, and coffee at fixed, reasonable prices.
The Rules of the Road (Safety & Responsibility)
We will never tire of emphasizing safety and personal responsibility. This reminder will appear in every update to ensure we all understand that the sole purpose of this event is to have a great time while adhering to basic safety and respect protocols.
Please keep the following in mind:
No Participation Fee: There is no cost to join, other than your own personal expenses.
Non-Profit Nature: The organizers will not receive any form of payment, gifts, or money from any participant or supporter.
Mandatory Gear: All participants (drivers and passengers) must wear full motorcycle safety gear (helmet, jacket, trousers, gloves, boots).
Conduct: Participants must follow the instructions of the event coordinators and respect all other members of the group.
Liability: Participants assume full and total responsibility for their own safety while riding and during their stay.
Exclusion Policy: Anyone failing to follow instructions (e.g., dangerous or fast riding, noise pollution at campsites, etc.) will be excluded from the group and may continue the trip independently.
Disclaimer: We accept no responsibility for any recklessness or oversight by any participant.
Group Flexibility: Independent groups or circles of friends are welcome to ride separately from the main group or follow their own alternative routes if they prefer.
